Abstract
There are two groups in Angle¢¥s classification class I malocclusion. One is identified by denture base too small to accommodate the teeth in good alignment, whereas the other is spased, having a normal or excessive lavial inclination of maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth. The author had attempted an orthodontic treatment of class I malocclusion having crowding in upper and lower anterior portion. He obtained good results in esthetics and functions with the fixed orthodontic appliance and he experienced the difference of treatment efficiency between the characteristics of wire (Elgiloy and Australian wire) which were used in orthodontic treatment.
